I took these photos from the crystallised remains of dye that I had mixed en masse for my installation in a large blue container. Having left the dye to dry on the bottom for a week or so, I suddenly realised the remains had consequently formed imagery reminiscent of a distant birds-eye view of the desert or ocean. 

I hope to use these images to inspire colour and texture in future paintings, but for now have decided they are most successful shown as un-edited photographs, as shown above.
